Looking for a magical way to spend the days between Christmas and New Year? On Sunday 27 December, the Rotterdam Night Walk returns. Put on your walking shoes, add a few lights to your outfit and discover Rotterdam on a special evening walk. This year, the event is also supporting KWF Dutch Cancer Society for the first time.
The Rotterdam Night Walk is a great way to round off the Christmas holidays. Thousands of participants come together to explore the city's illuminated streets, passing well-known Rotterdam landmarks and atmospheric streets along the way. The walk starts and finishes at Plein 1940, with a choice of routes of approximately 5 or 10 kilometres.
Rotterdam takes on a different feel during the Rotterdam Night Walk. This year, the brand-new route takes you through the heart of the city, past a variety of Rotterdam highlights. Along the way, you can soak up the winter atmosphere and enjoy surprising locations and special moments that make this evening walk extra memorable.
Families with young children are welcome too. Special family start waves make it easier for families to set off at a suitable time and enjoy the walk together.
Participants can make the evening even more festive by wearing lights, illuminated accessories and other creative decorations. Whether you are walking with friends, family or colleagues, the Rotterdam Night Walk is a fun way to get active together and experience the city from a different perspective.
For the first time, the Rotterdam Night Walk is supporting KWF Dutch Cancer Society. This gives the event an extra special meaning. One in two people in the Netherlands will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. KWF works to improve cancer prevention and early detection, develop more targeted treatments and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by cancer.
Would you like to raise money through your walk? There are two ways to get involved.

You can take part on your own or raise money as a team with friends or colleagues.
